This, in turn, demands that the refractory industry constantly adapt by undertaking continuous innovation and development of refractory product materials.

On October 16, 2025, PT Aldzama and Allied Mineral Products held a seminar for the copper and nickel smelter industries titled “Advanced Refractory Solutions.” The seminar was attended by several mining and mineral processing companies, including; PT Smelting, PT Vale Indonesia, PT Freeport Indonesia, and PT Halmahera Jaya Feronikel. The event featured several key speakers to present discussion material, namely Colin Deffet (Vice President of Allied Mineral Products) and Agus Sanjaya (President Director of PT Aldzama), accompanied by other representatives from both companies.

Through this discussion forum, PT Aldzama and Allied Mineral Products aim to provide a platform for professionals from the copper and nickel smelter industries to exchange case studies regarding refractory failure, discuss the main contributing factors, and effective mitigation strategies to reduce downtime in the mineral processing operation. The presence of this discussion space is expected to be a solution for the smelter industry in addressing complex refractory challenges.
